Wandong Private Bird Sanctuary (WPBS) was established in 1972, when a 10-year-old Col raised his very first swan — marking the beginning of a lifelong dedication to the care and wellbeing of birds.
What started as childhood curiosity quickly grew into a deep passion that has shaped decades of experience in ethical bird breeding, responsible rehoming, and compassionate sanctuary care.
For us, this is far more than a business — it is a calling. We receive no wages or salary. Every dollar from bird sales or donations is fully reinvested back into the care, enrichment, housing, and wellbeing of our birds.
Based in Wandong, Victoria, we proudly serve bird lovers across Australia, offering healthy, well-socialised birds raised with integrity, knowledge, and genuine love.
